Based on the Murray River, Darren is enjoying a fast growing reputation as a class act. To quote one music columnist, ”Darren is a gifted songwriter and storyteller with a clear and appealing vocal quality.....his songs reflect life and love in Australia.”

In January 2006 Darren was named TIARA (Tamworth Independent Artist recognition Awards) Male Vocalist Of The Year and also received a Top 5 Golden Guitar nomination for The Boundary Rider from his second album, the Herm Kovac produced "Come By Chance".

From the same producer, In January 2009 Darren released the self-titled album to great applause, produced again by Herm Kovac. With the singles, “On The Bend By The Willow “, “Letters From The Frontline” and the exquisite duet ,with Victoria Baillie, " Will You Stay" charting well, and with more to come, Darren is consolidating his place in the Australian Country Music Industry.
